I had forgotten how exhilarating it is to just roam around and stumble across unexpected adventures.. Collecting and buying books, roll of fabric, frames, black dress with very long sleeves, white linen tablecloth for that special occasion..
Then Camden Arts Centre (Hanne Darboven and Raphael Hefti). Enjoyed the contents of Annette Messaget's book The Messengers more. Particular favourite, her work with paper accessories (1969-70) and the beautiful The Borders (1971-72). I saw this at Tate Modern a long time ago. Dead sparrows lying in rows in a glass cabinet, all wearing carefully knitted cardigans..

I wanted to go to the cafe but felt out of place. I was not in the mood to sit in a busy environment after my viewing and thinking whilst at the gallery... and that person who should inspire and excite me, seems not to exist.
